Portland, ME, with excursions to Freeport
Actually, I don't have so much in the way of pictures here. But I did have to share the Plant of Damocles, as it hangs above the couch where I slept: Admittedly, it is quite securely fastened. But when you wake up in the night, and look up to see the bottom of a ten inch planter full of terra-cotta pot and aloe plant, you start realizing what awful things it would do to your head if it were suddenly overcome by gravity. |
| "The Boot" at the LLBean store in Freeport. Leo tells me it is a necessary tradition that all visitors have to be photographed in front of the boot. |
| Of course, Leo got photographed under the boot... |
Then of course there are the bits I didn't take pictures of: *Portland Public Market, which you should go to if you like exotic grocery shopping, and which I drove past at least twice but didn't actually go inside *Scenic downtown Portland and The Promenade (walkway along the beach), both of which I went to the last time I was there, and elected not to go back to *Choose Your Own Adventure game store, formerly run by Leo, Sara & Alton- if you are in the area and in need of game cards, dice, exotic sorts of caffine, or the use of a computer to play games on, go there. |
